Heard 'Stupify' on mp3-radio and thought it was a pretty good song. I especially liked the singer's style so I decided to buy the album. Was I annoyed when it turned out the album hasn't been released in Europe? Yes. Finally after a few angst-ridden days I decided to pay the ridiculous amount of money CDs cost in the US, plus toll and swedish frickin VAT (which is 25 per cent I might add), and I got the record home via air mail.
Boy was I surprised! This album actually delivers what it promises, I'm hard pressed to name a song I don't like on the album. Draiman's singing style is cool, raw but still melodic and also utilizing rythm and staccatos in a very cool way. The lyrics are... ok, but not really original. It's the same angst/hate theme you've found in this genre for years and years.
Some people on this site compared Disturbed to Pantera and Limp Bizkit which is rather funny; they don't sound like any of those bands at all. One more thing: the only better album I've bought this year is Incubus' latest. Man that album rocks.
