Victoria Beckham, former Spice Girl and wife of titular inspiration/soccer legend David Beckham weighs in with the breathy neo-disco of 'I Wish,' while fellow Spicester Mel C offers up the sprightly pop of 'Independence Day.' But it's the dizzying array of transplanted Indian pop music--oft-performed by the winning team of Brit Billy Sagoo and American vocalist Gunjan--that makes the album such a winning delight. This is world music with a dancefloor beat and a smile.

Go see the movie. It should be the next big foreign film hit. After a season of mostly awful movies this one is light, fun and enjoyable. The soundtrack is an odd mix of pop and Indian pop. I liked it I just don't know if it will stay in my player that long. But, still, the movie is definitely worth seeing.
