My daughter and I LOVE this CD of Lee Greenswood's tribute to our wonderful nation. The songs are mostly well-known patriotic favorites like 'America the Beautiful,' 'My Country, 'Tis Of Thee,' 'This Land Is Your Land,' and 'The Battle Hymn Of The Republic' compiled with the inspiring hit 'God Bless The U.S.A.' and 'The Great Defenders.' Lee Greenwood's version of 'This Land Is Your Land' is upbeat and fun to sing, and 'The Great Defenders' is a song that honors the men and women who serve in our armed forces. He names every branch of the American military--even the U.S. Coast Guard and the Reserves! It's a lively, fast-paced song. Mr. Greenwood's arrnagement of 'The Battle Hymn Of The Republic' is the most beautiful that I've ever heard. This CD reminds me that I am blessed to live in America. For people who are less familiar with the words to the more traditional patriotic songs, this is an easy way to learn them. Add this one to your collection and ENJOY!!!
