This is a great mini-Cd of Cyndi's best work in years and I was very happy with the selection,but I would've liked to have seen the dance/club hit Higher plane included on this EP.
Shine is a great song,simply perfect,as is the track It's hard to be me. Waters edge is flawless,one of the best ballads Cyndi has done (however,her ballad Eventually is just as great and should be performed live sometimes so Cyndi can see just how much her fans love this song) Madonna whore is a great song,yet maybe this version that appears here can be worked on more before the full Cd comes out later this year,most fans are hoping to see Madonna whore re-worked with a better and faster beat. Overall,it's a great EP and every Cyndi fan should own it...even non-Cyndi fans would no doubt love the tracks Shine and It's hard to be me. I only hope when the full Cd is released it includes some of the other gems from this great album like Higher plane,Rather be with you,Eventually and Wide open. These 4 tracks are just too great to go unreleased...infact,I perfer Higher plane,Rather be with you and Eventually over Madonna whore.
