But after seeing the band's concert DVD, I got the feeling Born didn't quite capture their sound. This album does just that. It captures them perfectly. The title track showcases everything that is Bond: Gypsy violin, world beats, ethnic instruments (sitars anyone?) and tons of attitude. They've kinda toned down the 'popped up classical' thing, instead going for a more honest 'this is who we are' type of performance. My favourite track on the album is 'Sahara,' which was penned by first violinist Haylie Ecker. It's (once again) a gypsy oriented piece which breathes the fires of hell itself out of your speakers. I can't get enough of that song. I swear it sounds like each instrument is playing in a different key, yet it still works perfectly. Other great tracks include 'Gypsy Rhapsody' which is just that, 'Feugo' which is insanity itself captured in music, 'Space' which I SWEAR is a homage to Nigel Kennedy, and 'Ride' which for some reason reminds me of 'Dalalai' off the previous album. 'Ride' is penned by second violinist Eos Chater, and is ALOT cooler than the track she penned on Born. There's also a Led Zepplin cover. About the only track I don't like is the James Bond theme, which just sounds out of place. Otherwise this is a fantastic sophmore relaease from a fantastic band that just keeps getting better and better.
