You're having a dinner party. The in-laws are going to be there. So are some of your closest 'after-hours' friends. You need music, something mellow but not despicably insipid. Welcome to a double-disc set that will cover all the above bases. Featuring Dido's 'Home with Me (Chillin' with the Family Mix),' St Germain's wonderful, downtempo 'Sure Thing,' and Royksopp's jaunty 'Eple,' it's mainstream enough for the progressive suburbanites in your midst. Meanwhile, Badly Drawn Boy's 'The ... Regular Price : $20.98

to surpass the previous In Search of Sunrise 1&2 compilations? I was a little skeptical going in, but this disc sure delivers. It has spent an inordinate of time in my CD player, and will continue to do so, I imagine. It's the best of melodic/chill/vocal/progressive trance. An awesome mellowish, serenely beautiful vibe... and now one of my favourite CDs.
I'd recommend this to everyone, you might not like it, but it's worth a ... Regular Price : $18.98

Unlike the Chemical Brothers--their longstanding U.K. brothers in electronica--Underworld have been allowed to grow (relatively) old without being accused of stagnating. A Hundred Days Off, Underworld's first studio release since the departure of member Darren Emerson, demonstrates why. An ecstatic headrush of percolating beats, swirling synth, and shape-shifting melodies, A Hundred Days Off drags everything from Delta blues to space-age pop onto the dance floor. Because the pair takes their cues in part from the real world, ... Regular Price : $18.98

Thievery Corporation's Eric Hilton and Rob Garza have always treated the line between acoustic and electronic music as a drunken sailor might, unpredictably falling on one side or the other with equal frequency. By this measure, The Richest Man in Babylon is their soberest effort to date, striding confidently into jazz, soul, world beat, and other styles with a direct, reverential approach. The band's last record, Sounds from the Verve Hi-Fi, featured a set of classic jazz tunes ... Regular Price : $16.98

Yes, Aaron Carter's voice has cracked on his third album, but that's not the whole story here. Another Earthquake finds the teen-pop star shedding the simple melodies of his previous releases in favor of a more grownup sound that's informed equally by Nelly's insistent rap grooves ('My First Ride') and Limp Bizkit's infectious new-metal riffs ('Another Earthquake'). Carter has come a long way from the puerile 'Aaron's Party (Come Get It),' but his childlike charm remains firmly intact ... Regular Price : $18.98

The latest Jerry Bruckheimer production focuses on five twenty-something women working their way through life at a fashionable bar in New York City. Four new LeAnn Rimes tracks highlight this collection. Though all from the pen of veteran songwriter Diane Warren, the tracks vary in style from diva pop ('Fight the Moonlight') to sentimental musings ('Please Remember'). It's only a matter of time before Rimes leaves country music completely behind for the sleek modern world of ... Regular Price : $17.98

The third full-length release from Massive Attack is a taste of the future of pop music--a future where precisely engineered events can be seamlessly partnered with the subtle complexities of a human voice. Since their first album, Blue Lines, they've been making similar magic happen with any one of several guest vocalists, but nothing like the way it happens on Mezzanine. This time they take the union further, moving it into a darker ... Regular Price : $16.98
