About as complete a selection of fan and artist favorites as any single-disc Bruce collection could be, this is a surprisingly coherent listen given the many stylistic and attitudinal shifts it charts. The inclusion of only four of Born in the U.S.A.'s seven Top 10 entries leaves space for less obvious choices like 'Atlantic City' and four new cuts, among them songs recorded by a briefly reunited E Street Band. The pace lags a bit near ... Regular Price : $17.98

Despite all the tragedies and VH1 specials that have befallen them, Def Leppard remain one of the most reliable British arena-rock bands out there. After briefly losing direction in the dour '90s, the band rebounded with 1999's exuberant Euphoria. Things stay mercifully on course with the scintillatingly titled X (as in the Roman numeral for 10, they tell us with a wink). 'Torn to Shreds' and 'Cry' are classic stonewashed-denim rockers, lifted straight from the 15-million selling ... Regular Price : $18.98

This song is very catchy and very enjoyable to listen to as well as containing a powerful message of hope. Guitars are very prominent-the E Street Band is awesume. Land of Hope and Dreams was an excellent choice as a companion piece. Cannot wait to here this one at the concert! I only hope Springsteen puts out a music video for this one.

Marking the 30th anniversary of the Grateful Dead's first full-fledged European tour, the four-disc Steppin' Out will delight collectors wishing to dig deeper than the terrific original three-LP (two-CD) Europe '72. Culling performances from seven English shows from the spring of 1972, this set has much more of a 'live' feel than the Europe '72 release, which had polished up the Dead's rougher edges, introduced a bunch of new songs to ... Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel were the apotheosis of the '60s folk revival, bringing the music to the mainstream via Top 40 radio and network TV. This live set was recorded before a rapt audience at New York's Lincoln Center in January of 1967, just as their Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme album was carrying them to superstardom, and there's a palpable pre-Woodstock/Altamont sense of boundless possibilities in these performances. Carried by just their bittersweet, magnificently ... Regular Price : $18.98

Queen brought a whole new meaning to the phrase over the top. While rock & roll flamboyance stretched back at least as far as Little Richard, Freddie Mercury continued to camp it up, taking little seriously and smirking at the music's growing pretensions while partaking in them no small bit. Many of the band's singles hold up extremely well, later tracks such as 'Hammer to Fall' as much as prime-era numbers such as 'Bohemian Rhapsody,' ... Regular Price : $29.98

The band that proclaimed itself 'The Greatest Rock & Roll Band in the World' has long since represented rock's most overarching confluence of art and commerce--with a distinct emphasis on the latter in recent decades--a notion this 40-track, five-decade-spanning anthology can't completely escape. While this is the first anthology to gather hits from the band's entire career, it's the early tunes that highlight one of the Stones' central ironies: virtually their entire 'bad boy' ... That Up exists at all is faintly miraculous. Over the past seven years, with guests including Youssou N'Dour, Peter Green, the Blind Boys of Alabama, and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Peter Gabriel has held recording sessions in Senegal, Atlanta, Singapore, the French Alps, and on a boat on the Amazon River, as well as at his own RealWorld studios. One of the few lineups to make the leap from 1980s 'hair band' into long-term semi-respectability, Bon Jovi's eighth studio album is somewhat true to the band's pop-metal roots, though Bounce is ultimately mellower and more theatrical than previous outings. 'Undivided' might be a Tom Waits number, all gravelly vocals and booming drums hinting at a dark hipness before kicking into a commercial, lush chorus. Still, it's got a pleasing edginess, as does the toe-tapping, mechanized feel ... Regular Price : $18.98
